Organisations, Groups and Activities

We are a friendly association of experienced beekeepers and enthusiastic beginners who meet regularly to talk about bees and beekeeping. We provide education and training, support and mentoring, promote best practices and raise awareness about the honeybee.

ActForEaling was set up in the Summer of 2020 when a small group of Ealing’s community began meeting to discuss local climate action. As discussions progressed, the group realised just how dense the web of climate action was in Ealing, and how much potential there was to grow connection and involvement together. The council’s climate strategy of net zero by 2030 could only be realised with community support. It was agreed that Ealing could achieve positive progress with community engagement but could achieve positive transformation with community ownership.

Horsenden Farm is the hub of activity. The children’s play area and the car park are open 365 days a year. Horsenden is a working farm, home to a small urban farm and orchard. Farming at Horsenden goes back to, at least, Tudor times and is alive and well today with a market garden tended by volunteers, using environmentally friendly permaculture principles.

Grove Farm is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) and a Statutory Local Nature Reserve (LNR). It is a hidden urban gem which provides a biodiverse natural space in North Greenford. The deciduous woodland on Grove Farm contains broadleaf trees such as oak, ash, elm, hazel and blackthorn. Grove Farm has a particularly magnificent display of wood anemones in spring as well as native bluebells. It has rare trees including many wild service trees. All these species are indicators of ancient woodland. A stream runs along a valley through the site adding to its nature conservation interest.

Ealing Repair Café

Ealing Repair café encourages the mending of clothes and textiles. We want to get more people to value and wear their clothes for longer and to move away from fast disposable fashion. We run friendly monthly gatherings around Ealing, giving suggestions and showing examples of repairs done by our community.

We are neighbours in West London transforming unused and unloved plots of land in West Ealing to bring new, green life into these spaces.

Our aim is to create habitats that promote biodiversity and climate resilience and spark connections with nature and our community.

Ultimately, we seek to make West Ealing more beautiful, healthy, safe, and inclusive.

Southall Community Alliance (SCA), a registered charity, is leading this transformative urban garden project in Western Road, and EPF is proud to be part of the project along with the help and support of other local groups and organisations.
